No More Jail Deaths - Community Gathering
November 12th 5-7 PM
A brief stint in jail should NOT be a death sentence!
We refuse to accept jail deaths, violence, medical neglect, and mistreatment as normal.
On November 12, we are bringing our community together to share a meal, build relationships, and begin having conversations about what we can do together to end the harm happening to our people inside these jails.
This gathering is a beginning. A space to listen, share, build community, and begin identifying what we can do collectively. Mass Bail Fund organizers will come ready to share some of our losses and wins in the fight to challenge jail deaths.
Some questions we would love to think through together include:
What are people inside South Bay and Nashua Street telling us is happening and what do they need?
How can our community respond to violence, medical neglect, and deaths in custody?
What can we do together to end this harm and bring our people home?
“I truly cannot say enough about how grateful my family and I are for the support and presence of the Massachusetts Bail Fund...Having people who treat families with dignity and compassion during such difficult moments makes an enormous difference. Your organization does more than assist with bail—you give families hope and remind people that they are not alone during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart. You made this mom extremely happy, and our family will always remember the kindness and support you showed us.”
The people we support matter the most to us.
End of The Year Volunteer Celebration!
As 2024 comes to a close and we are in this tense post-election moment, we want to 🎉celebrate🎉 you and the work that we’ve done together! We need us now more than ever! Mass Bail Fund was founded by a group of volunteers and we honor that legacy by continuing to build community members into our organization. This past year your commitment to volunteering helped us bring over 1000+ people 🤯 or 30% of the current pre trial population in Massachusetts back home! If you have time, please join us in person on Friday, December 13 for a celebration of this amazing feat and a refocusing on greater sights with the New Year!

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
